Edwards Hot Water
Introduction
Edwards has established a world wide reputation for manufacturing quality products, offering excellent value for money and the latest in engineering design. With the financial, engineering and technical resources of Edwards and a commitment to quality, innovation, after sales service and extensive warranty, Edwards has become a major force in hot water systems around the world.
Background
Edwards offers a practical range of Solar Hot Water systems, from 180 litres with one solar absorber panel, to the 440 litre giants that have up to four solar absorber panels. In addition, there are two heater types: the L-Series direct type, and the LX-Series indirect type.
The L-Series routes the water to be heated directly through the risers bonded to the solar absorption plate, and is suitable for locations not subject to frost. The LX-Series utilises the highly efficient heat transfer properties of
glycol to heat the water indirectly, so that consumable cylinder water does not enter the solar panel and expose it to frost damage. The most suitable system will depend on where the system is to be installed (line of latitude and average annual solar radiation), which way the roof faces, the pitch of the roof and the hot water demand profile. The standard Edwards Australis solar panel may be suitable, or the installation may require the high-efficiency Titan titanium coated copper panel.
Edwards also provide fully engineered industrial and commercial systems for hostels, hotels, hospitals, bottling plants, apartment buildings, retirement complexes, etc.. These are typically unique systems, designed for specific client requirements.
Restor (Africa) will work directly with clients or through accredited distributors and installation contractors, who will provide local support and backup.
The use of renewable energy sources in South Africa is rapidly gaining significance, from environmental responsibility perspectives, to economic and functionality issues.
Restor therefore offers the South African market a premium product, backed by over 30 years research and development, and which has achieved standards accreditation in Australia, Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain.
